Re: I'm Drained fly: Just keep taking him to the doctor. they will draw blood and read his counts for the last 3 months. it will give you a better idea of what is going on. well, at least they should draw this test.
** hugs*** I remember when my brother was diagonsed. It was a whirlwind of activity and things to learn.
he will be good though, my brother is wonderful and is a bunch of fun. never stopped him from a thing

After 5 hours in the ER we were told he has Type 1 diabetes and to follow up with his regular dr. He had a reading of over 400 at home, and then 200 something at the ER, then it dropped to 78 when they drew blood 2 hours later.
I have no idea what is going on.

Re: I'm Drained startingover: My family is out of state, I've talked to my mom several times today and the stbx spent the afternoon with us in the ER. He was a help today, but we are both so overwhelmed.

Don't "ever" go back to the Doctor that you have been with through this...
Find someone that knows what the hell is going on
He should have seen what was happening from Day One...
IMO
JNA
I would have seen that and even thought about the low blood sugar thing when you stated it in your post...

I'm planning on calling the insurance company first thing in the morning and finding a new dr for all the kids. Today shouldn't have happened. She didn't even check his blood sugar when we went into the office this morning. >:(
