Is full disclosure necessary when people have to be honest?
[/quote">

Nah.  In fact, you shouldn't even give her your name.

Makes you a Man Of Mystery.

In order to pull this off though you'll need to wear a tuxedo all the time, affect a British accent, talk into a rather odd wristwatch you wear to a person named, mysteriously "Q" and carry a semi-auto pistol tucked away for impolite moments when you're at cocktail parties.

But I have faith in you bro, you can do it.
Re: Full Disclosures fkunone: plusca - you're funny.

In any case, I went the full disclosure route once.  Only to have a "track record".  Which was stomped on, thrown in my face and made me feel like supercrapola.

All in all, I gave power to those who didn't need it.

I shall no longer.

It's a tought question, to be honest.  Some people do exactly what you say, keep the information tucked away for future ammunition, but at the time they ask, you think they're peaches and cream and wonderful fuzzy bunny neato so you don't think about it in those terms.

I'd go honesty route, but only on the exact questions they had, and then only considered on a 'why do you want to know' basis.  "Just because", or any of it's variants), are not reasons.

Besides, spilling everything out at one time really does take away the mystery a guy has going for him.  Women, that I know of anyway, aren't terribly interested in guys who are complete open books and whom they know every single detail about.  That's boring, as I hear tell.
Re: Full Disclosures fkunone: Ah, I went the same way as well.  It ended up being that "omission" or "lack of giving information" is the same thing as lying.

It's a tough line to walk, granted.

Did she tell you every single thing about her, down to the number of pimples she popped during her lifetime?

If not, she was playing you with emotional blackmail.

That's where the "look, some things are private" line works I think.  She won't leave you over not telling her about spilling yahoo chocolate drink on your sister's head when you were ten, she'll just fume and complain and try to get the info out of you even more, because it's something secret or mysterious.  Whereas if you do tell her, she'll still fume and complain and try to convince you what a cad you were for spilling said chocolate drink, and also hold it back for later to demonstrate how you hate women or can't handle relationships or whatever fruit loop crap Dr. Phil says men currently hate about women.  Six one way, half dozen the other.
