Re: Article: Women Fess Up About Cheating TarheelMike: These are great:

[quote"> Most everyone we knew had gotten engaged, and though John would have proposed in a second, whenever he brought it up, I’d change the subject.[/quote">

So were you or weren't you?

[quote"> I think I rationalized that I was trying to spare his feelings.[/quote">

Sure you were...

[quote"> I think I sort of kept Eric around for insurance purposes, just in case things didn’t end up well with Dave
[/quote">

Do guys do this, too?  If so, I've never heard about it.

[quote"> When I was younger, I dated a guy named Ethan who was really critical of me. He constantly made little snide comments about my weight, how stupid I was and how clumsy I was. For whatever odd reason, I was into him, despite the fact that all of my friends and family hated him.[/quote">

Does this make ANY sense to anybody?

[quote"> I took a trip to Key West with my friends and we chartered a boat for the day. The captain of the boat was this totally hot, complete - beach guy for life - type, and I spent the whole day flirting with him.[/quote">

First of all, there's nothing but trouble in Key West.  ;)  Secondly, this sounds REALLY shallow.  I mean, I'm a dumb guy who wants a pretty girl, but you'll never hear me say something as STUPID as that last sentence there.

[quote"> I thought I could change him, but I was wrong.[/quote">

Everybody's favorite right there...

[quote"> My ex was a terrible kisser - the worst! I really liked everything else about him, but whenever it came time to get physical, I just cringed.
[/quote">

Maybe you shouldn't be with him in the first place then.

All of the above here are why you should NEVER even try to justify cheating at all, no matter who you are.  Because you come off sounding like an idiot.

This happened to me - so yes it goes both ways.

You bet it makes sense.  See it every single day.

It's the double standard come home to roost really.  I agree with your take on it.

Or maybe, hey here's a thought, maybe she should have told him and they could have worked on it together.

Imagine, being that shallow that you'll reject somebody who is completely  perfect for you in every way, because they don't kiss how you think they'd kiss.  C'mon.

Re: Article: Women Fess Up About Cheating yella: Tarheel - I can bet you anything that with the more experience you get in dating, the more your current views will change. Trust me.

Like it's been said before, you can not even begin to relate or understand someone's reason for doing something until the same exact thing happens to you. You can argue with me, but mark my words.

Check back with me in 10 years.  ;) You'll have a whole new view, little bro.

Oh, I know that much.  It still doesn't make sense though.
