I can't give you advice about taking care of kids. What I can point out to you is one sentence that could carry you through any fight about your daughter. "All I'm trying to do is find something that wll help my little girl feel better." If she fights you, you say it again. You can change it to "our little girl" if you think it will diffuse a fight.
