Re: I'm FINALLY coming out... mariher: I don't know if this makes any sense but sometimes it actually helps me especially now when i've been dealing with so much stuff lately in my personal life. It is a distraction for me at times. Maybe somewhere down the road I will get some type of therapy.

You agreed me with me on another thread as well. If you keep it up, people are going to start talking about us... ;)

Re: I'm FINALLY coming out... 2be: Thanks for sharing... and that is nothing to be ashamed of.  I have a tendancy to be that way as well.  It got bad my freshmen year in college, when I was under heavy stress. I remember walking downstairs (lived with my parents still) to make sure the outside garage door was locked.  20 minutes later, i'd do it again even though I KNEW it was.  It got so bad I even went outside, down the back steps (in winter weather) to make sure the outside basement door was locked.

It's good you can control it yourself fairly well, but I agree that you should try to seek a specialist if you can.  They can do wonders!

Good luck.  :D :D :D
Re: I'm FINALLY coming out... Rain_Gray: Well I'm glad that you can see some of the extremely few good things about your OCD, I'm glad you shared with us. If you ever need someone to talk to, you have a whole bunch of listeners. Good luck...

And Steve, haha yes I know. You might be abrasive sometimes but you're smart and experienced. So I don't care who talks  ;) :P

Thanks RG. At least I keep it interesting around here. And as per your other thread, I'm glad things are working out for you.  :)

And Mariher, as per your PM, I understand, but please keep the possiblility of counseling open, especially if you start to feel worse.
