I've read countless stories Gringe: Has anyone truly ever reconciled? If so, was it soon after? Was it after you had moved on? Did you realize that it was worth saving?
Re: I've read countless stories *Tricia: Would never reconcile...can not even imagine ....bleck nevermind
Re: I've read countless stories surprised: We tried two months after breaking up, that was two weeks ago. Didn't work out. My sister split up with her boyfriend for a year or two. Now they've been married for almost 3 years and just had their second child.
Re: I've read countless stories surprised: Cringe,
I wouldn't say taking a break from the vows, but from each other, maybe it's not a bad idea. As long as no one sleeps with anyone else. My ex (we weren't married) told me he didn't think we could get back together if I'd slept with anyone and I said it definitely would have felt like he had cheated if he had, even though we technically aren't together and can do whatever we want.
Re: I've read countless stories idocsteve: My wife and I have been on and off since May. We got to the brink of divorce, actually papers were served and responded to, but at the present time we have reconciled, the divorce action has been vacated, and we are actually getting along better than we have in a long time. We are in counseling, individual and marital, and we are both much more in touch with each other and our needs...communication is much better as well. So it looks good from here...in our case there was no infidelity, which is a common theme on these boards. We read this forum together, and it has been invaluable in helping us recognize and deal with many of our difficulties.
