Getting too comfortable with your job. C-Note: Damn I'm really getting to comfortable at my day job. I need to straighten up. Keep my edge and not let myself slack off so much.
Today i didn't even get the circulation about reviewing the sexual harrasment policy. It's an annual thing and for some reason I didn't make the list. What I'm not a potential harrasser?
To top that off I just caught myself nodding off at my desk as the boss's admin assistant walked in with some questions.
Don't even get me started with tardiness. CPT.
OK I need my job and this is importent to me. I do get my work done and return calls and all that, but man am I not striving to wow anyone. No flare what so ever. None.
Re: Getting too comfortable with your job. snkpack: Its been bothering me lately that I feel the same way. The irony is that my boss says I'm much more pleasant to work with now that I've relaxed and am happier at work. ::) Guess I'm not as pestiferous as I used to be when I had ambition!
Re: Getting too comfortable with your job. C-Note: I think my co-worker has gotten too comfortable with her job. Today she brought her chocolate brown lab into the office. I know we have a short work day being Thanksgiving eve, but I'm sorry. THat's a big dog and she's not blind.
The pouch was playfull and all but I think she too comfortable with her position. If her dad wasn't the company president I don't think she could have gotten away with having this particular visitor in the work place.
Re: Getting too comfortable with your job. Mooneyes: perhaps it depends on your workplace. I've worked places where you could bring your dog. It really depended on the dog. I brought my dog to work one day on the weekend, but he wanted to explore, which was dangerous.
Re: Getting too comfortable with your job. C-Note: This day is dragging it's ass off the charts as the longest ever. I need to pull up my credit card balance to keep my ass glued to this seat.
