Hard Day sparkle7: Does the pain go away?
5 months out of an 8 year relationship/engagement. I had my story posted and became paranoid (social anxiety and paranoia seem to be a common theme lately when putting myself out there). Has anyone experienced these things after their relationship ended? Maybe I should elaborate, I feel paranoid when I go out because I live in a very small town and way too many people have been involved in my breakup (gossip). I have social anxiety because many of our mutual friend's have been awkward towards me or don't acknowledge what is going on. I feel like I am going crazy sometimes.

I went through the same kind of thing when my ex and I split. I can promise you that it does get better. You just have to hold your head high, and know that while things are over with you two, you are still a person with feelings, and no one can invalidate them.
