One foot in one foot out
.

One foot in one foot out mariher: I've been working for a private company for the past 7 months and so far it's going okay. But sometimes I get worried because it feels like I could be gone from one day to the next. The company is still small and fairly new, only like 2 years old. So it's scary sometimes. They could just get up one day and say "well we are gonna have to cut back on expenses, we're gonna let her go" and then I'm gonna have to go thru the misery of finding another job. I make about 38 thousand annually, which isn't alot especially living in new york and having a child to care for, but I'm well off for now. I want to feel secure in this job and I don't feel secure at all, that's a scary feeling.
Re: One foot in one foot out mariher: I look back at this post and I'm laughing my ass off!

I found a new job, a much better job, and I can't wait until next week and I'm gone from this bullshit company.

Thank you Jesus!!!!

Re: One foot in one foot out alonewith2: That's awesome, Mariher!!

As a single mom, I can understand the need for job security, and the need to be happy in your job.  It's not like single parents don't have enough shit to stress us out!  ;)

I went through hell last year for the whole month of November in which I didn't even know if I had a job anymore or what was gonna happen to me, but thank goodness it all worked out in my favor.

It's great that you were able to get a better job (and one that you sound like you're gonna love)!!!

I'm stoked about this new gig.
Thanks for the kind words.

It is really hard being a single parent and I try so hard to give my daughter all the things she needs, so this new job was a gift from God, definitely.
