Re: Dating?? alonewith2: I wasn't interested in dating at all when my stbx and I first separated. It took me about a year to even entertain the idea. I only dated one person then, but it was someone I knew and had a friendship with.
When we separated this second and final time, I put my profile on an online dating site. I ended up with 4 guys interested in me, and I went out on two dates only a few weeks after we separated. Both men were less than desirable prospects so I never went out on any other dates. I became convinced that there was no one in this small town in which to date.
I went back into my box and tried to focus on other things going on in my life. I tried two more times to date, but they always fell through. Mostly due to me being a little more shy after all that time.
Finally, 3 months past the year anniversary of our separation, I found someone. YAY!! We've been dating for the past 2 months and it's great. ;D
