I agree with you. I felt more rejected while I was married than I do now. Calling it off just confirmed to me how little I meant to her. I made the same mistakes you did. Hoping for better, hoping to change people, I wish I hadn't wasted so much time trying to achieve these things, but oh well, you live and learn. Best of luck Lumbeeman.
