How do I approach her? BobFromAcctg: Here is the situation. At the church I attend, there is a woman who has caught my eye and every sunday she stands at the visitors table. I would like to go up and introduce myself but it seems kind of weird to just walk up and say "Hi.. I'm J****"...
Any ideas for a completely cluess type who has not been in the dating arena for almost 30 years???

Its hard because what keeps running through my mind is that the woman who knew me the best (the stbxw) rejected me, so once this lady gets to know me, she will do the same. I know its stupid but there it is...

I'm hearing you on this one. But you know what, you know the kind of person you are. You know you deserve much better than your ex could've ever given you. This woman at your church isn't your ex. Just because your ex rejected you doesn't mean someone else won't value the very things that your ex disliked about you.
