Re: Better than Star Trek! Laura35: True, Star Trek had its moment of changing the way you watch TV. But I'm ready for a newcomer who is groundbreaking. New life, new show! New shoes, new nail polish. New wig. Hey, who said feeling good is cheap.
Actually, I don't even use nail polish. But I'll try everything once!
How's that for a random rant.
Re: Better than Star Trek! Phyxius: Gotta agree here. BSG is hands-down the best thing on TV right now... ;)

I guess nobody must have seen the show before, cause if you had, you would agree with me and Rolling Stone magazine who called it "best show on tv today".
Rent it, if you like science fiction! ;D

Laura35, sorry I just found this thread. I hate it when I throw a post out here and it feels like no one is interested. I'd just like to say Battle Star Galactica is my favorite TV now. The series didn't grab me during the beginning of season 1. Honestly the only thing that kep me coming back was the eye candy. As you stated the ships, the cgi's the look of the show was just great. Plus the women in the show are all just mega hot in their own way.
The series had me hook line and sinker when Sharon put two in Adoma during the series finale. Didn't see that coming and for the most part I didn't think the old man was gonna make it back.
I thought I was going to give up on the series when they settled on that planet, but some how they are back in space. The series plays with it's audience... makes us happy, sad, mad, etc.. with the plot changes. I guess the only thing that I really could do with out is one of the characters looking like my ex. :P
I'm a fan... This isn't quiet the show Farscape was, but at least I have something to feed my SciFi tv show habit.
Re: Better than Star Trek! Laura35: I was shocked how season 2 ended but then it went back to being very interesting immediately as season 3 started. What I liked in the episodes on the planet though was how some of the characters became very different (like the Colonel, which I hated before but then I started liking him). And Starbuck, my favorite character, has been through so many changes. It's just that the characters are more like people - COMPLICATED!!! Not like in other shows where you know exactly what they are going to do and what they'll say in every situation.
And I love Dr Gaius!!!
And even if I'm a woman, I have to say the women are totally hot. The men are acceptable. ;D
