Re: the right thing? icwtsmnl: oops, sorry. i missed that you wrote "last week". yeeps!
sigh....its so hard.
Re: the right thing? surprised: Sheeps,
Don't worry about sounding cruel. I need a little of that right now. I was paraphrasing the note. The longer version went something like this: "Since you haven't responded to my email I think I know your answer. I just wish you had been brave enough to tell me how you feel instead of ignoring me completely. I'm sorry things have to end, I don't want them to. Anyway, here are your things, etc." So yes, the note was a last ditch effort to get a response, I won't even try to deny that, but it was accompanied with the gesture of returning his stuff, including his keys. Is all of that contradictory, definitely. But that's pretty much where I'm at right now. I'm not going to apologize for it, I'm confused and conflicted.
Re: the right thing? allmusic76: Ah the 3 C's.... confused, conflicted and crappy.
Watching her come in and get the rest of her stuff was kind of hard for me too, however watching her leave was in some morbid way...a sense of relief.... " She can't hurt me anymore, unless she goes out of her way to do it.... and if she does... i'll get over it faster because of her malice."
I hope this helps.

I empathize. It's very difficult to give up. All cliches are true: "Hope springs eternal".
Re: the right thing? surprised: You know, it's a funny thing about hope. I had a discussion with a friend a while ago about it. She was saying hope is bad because it can lead to so much disappointment. Which I thought was a sadly pessimistic viewpoint. But after all of my hopes being dashed last month, and this stupid hope keeping me going now, I wonder if she was right.
