I Am Becoming A Bitter Old Man
.

I Am Becoming A Bitter Old Man Gringe: I try to be a happy go lucky guy. Take things in stride, you know. I see most things for what they are. So, when I try to start a new relationship, after a failed marriage, I know that things are gonna be rough. First, we are going to find opposition at every turn because of the age difference. Second, my children are grownup and gone, hers are young. Third, we both come with baggage, being married before. But, man, when the outside influences are stronger then the couple itself, how do you fight that.
I understand friends looking out for friends, it's the best thing in the world, but to continually breakdown the relationship, until it's destroyed. We all look after the people we care about, but this seems more like, I was waiting for her, and you butted in front of me.
Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm bitter, maybe that Batman guy is right, lets just be alone, and live a good life for ourselves.

Sorry about your friend Spike.

Re: I Am Becoming A Bitter Old Man HoldingPattern: Yes, relationships are tough....especially when you have children involved. But if it's worth it....then work at it. I don't believe that we have to be alone if the first or second didn't work out. Everyone (ok, maybe not everyone) needs a companion through life. Anyway, Here's to wishing you happiness...with or without her.
Re: I Am Becoming A Bitter Old Man Spike: Hang in there, it's just another glitch. Stumble, fall, getup, brush off, move ahead. It's all part of this sick game called life.

Thanx

I keep stumbling and falling so much that even though I get up and brush off, the bruises keep accumulating.  They hurt like a mofo".  :(
