Re: Things could be worse. C-Note: I have my freedom. Nothing beats walking out your front door and having the world to play in.

Sure, I'm alone in terms of a relationship but he is still alive and thriving.
My life is not so bad.
Re: Things could be worse. yella: I have my kids. I watch them grow up, I know who they are, I get to hug them when they cry, and take care of them when they are sick. I get the "I love you", and the squishy hugs. I get to look into their eyes on a daily basis when their father chooses not to.
I have my job. One of the main things I wouldn't have if I were still married.
I have my health. Sure, my body isn't what it once was, and some things are falling apart as I get older, but it's mine. I can walk, talk, and take care of myself.
I have the freedom to speak up and shut the door on the people who cause me trouble and pain.
I have a few really close friends, and without them, I might be lost.
Sure, many things could be better, but as long as I have what I have now, I think I'll do just fine.

I religious person told me it's not the end of the world. There are far more devistating things that can happen to a person besides getting dumped and abandoned.
So I'm gonna try and think of a few.
I have my health. A fatal illness would beat this hands down.
