Smacked Down Again! -- Tips on Letting Go Mango25: I sent my ex an e-mail yesterday and got his response last night. I was kind and gentle. There will be no contact -- not now, not on my birthday (though just a few months ago I was begged into going out with him for his), not on Christmas. Instead of thinking that he's a jerk who lied to me and I'm better off without him, I keep thinking that I've lost the greatest thing I've ever had, and, even worse, will ever have. I need to be start being positive about my own life and future. I need to let go. But, when it hurts this bad, how?
