Most people have been on either side of this, or know someone who has. It's better to let it go if "it" isn't there. To blaze forward with a relationship that isn't quite it leads to the people we see on here. The ones who say they've dumped their spouse because they never loved them but they settled. It's so much better to just end it way before it might get that far.
In love...almost good enough is never good enough. Either is IS or it isn't.

i'm not in any way judging you. i think you did the right thing by honestly cutting it off before both of you got really involved. way to do it.
it's just it's a general rule that nice guys finish last. by being nice he didn't interest you enough. that's what saddens me, that nice guys finish last. been there done that :-[
