I agree with your thoughts and can understand your reasonings.  You want someone without a lot of history carried around as baggage.  Someone who hasn't been molded a certain way yet by life.  However, there are dangers to that type of person, too.  You never know what she'll be like when she's faced with relationship situations or everyday hardships.  But I guess if you're willing to take that chance, more power to you.

The way I see it, I can go with a known constant or an unknown variable.  In the case of the known constant (anger, angst, bitter) it's something I can tell you right now, with 100% certainty, that I don't want to start out with.  With the unknown variable (bright, bubbly, little to no baggage) at least there's a chance she may not turn out as noted above.

In any event, it's all speculation.  Just mentioning why some "older" guys would go for a younger woman, that has nothing to do with a tight bod or whatever shallow values some women say is "really happening".
Re: math for men allilm: I was thinking on my drive to work this morning, how my male peers are relatively much younger in the dating world, than I am.  As a woman, at 32, I'd be looking for a guy in the 30-40 age range, but a guy at 32 would probably be looking for a girl in the 25-35 age range.  While that's only a possible five year difference in range, when I consider the population of eligible, potential female mates in the 25-35 age range, as compared to the eligible, potential male mates in the 30-40 age range, it seems like miles apart.

That's quite true.  It's an interesting shift in gender "power".  From 13 to 27 or so, women have more power in the market.  From 28 on up, that gets shifted to the men.  It's a pretty well known thing, I just find it fascinating.

Re: math for men allilm: So basically you're agreeing that I'm SOL ;)
Re: math for men C-Note: Could it be that men don't need to mature as fast or as high as women?  I mean from a biological stand point if your feesible age for having a healthy baby is between say (What ever and what ever).  And a man's feesible age to impregnate that optimum age group is say from puberty till death.  Then maybe on some level men just have more time to develope and perform our role for the species.  We just need to grow up and mature to the level of 20 something year old hotties.   ;D
