So if your boyfriend subscribes to the thought that all guys want to have sex with their female friends, then yeah i can see why he would be jealous.
I personally feel that the whole guys who want to get busy with their female friends is a tub of horse-poo, hence I don't feel threatened by any guy friends my girlfriend has.

It being true in your experience means it's true for you (and perhaps for those that you know). It doesn't mean it applies for everyone or even for nearly everyone.
There are many qualities that are true for 90%+ of the people I know that definitely do not apply to the general population.
There are many male/female friendships where each wants nothing romantic or sexual from the other. The extent to which you've experience or observed it doesn't apply to the population in general.
Re: guys/girls being jealous of opposite sex friends katelyn: So strange.. when I was younger (16-21ish) it was SO NORMAL to have guy friends. Almost all my friends were guys. I still get along well with guys but I can't even imagine having very close guy friends like I used to.
Because I realize what plus and tar have said: it's inappropriate - they all carry some form of sexual tension. Even if it's unrequited, it's still there.
