Upcoming Holidays... carpemomento: Okay... not sure where to post this but....
The holidays are coming up...for me its Christmas...and New Years.
Met the STBXW a 1/2 year after I moved down and most of my friends are her friends...and the rest are hundreds of miles away. This season I have no wife...no family portrait... my brothers and sisters are also hundreds of miles away... but I don't want to leave on the OFF chance my STBXW "allows" me to see my 5 year old on Christmas Day (and that assumes that she does not become too destructive once she gets served with the divorce paperwork).
I don't want to spend Christmas alone and I don't want to spend New Years alone and I was hoping to find some type of group or organization that hosts events for people that are in our (or my) situation. I had also thought of volunteering to work on Christmas but I am feeling a bit depressed and pre-occupied to continue searching (since this internet is just too big).
Any thoughts?
Re: Upcoming Holidays... cdoulatiff: churches always have a lot of stuff around the holidays....as well as shelters...they are always needing volunteers
