it's much better to be alone than in BAD company. But it still does suck. I found that the alone time was the time where I did the most "thinking". It was nice to have that alone time, to get what I needed to get done.
I open my windows, buy a cheap cigar, enjoy a beer and watch the city sometimes. Maybe I write. Maybe I watch TV. Maybe I go down to the gym and watch TV there and work out.
Find something to fill that time, even if it's consciously nothing.
