Re: Blood Diamond katelyn: This movie was riveting. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I find myself wanting to learn more about Africa just by watching this. I was disgusted, moved, fascinated, horrified, and inspired all at once. Wow...
One thing that irritated me though was at the end it says "It is up to the consumer to insist on conflict-free diamonds."
Riiiiigghht. Like an industry would ever tell a consumer they're buying conflict diamonds. Give me a break. My bf said "You still want 2 carats?" and I said "The thought makes me sick to my stomach."
Re: Blood Diamond crushedman: It was a little disappointing to me. Jennifer Connoly is an atrocious actress, every scene that she was in was awful. Leo's accent came and went. It did some good things, the scene where the father attacks leo was AWESOME. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it, but I would rent it if I had nothing better to do.
