An idea for kids to eat?
.

An idea for kids to eat? fkunone: So I'm trying to get my son interested in eating other than the usual kid fare:

Pizza
Nuggets
PB & J

so I got some cookbooks for kids so HE can choose what he may find appealing.  So far it's muffins, cupcakes and chocolates.  LOL!

I'm hoping he'd find something half appealing.  Anybody have any success?

Glad I started reading the thread first, I was about to commend you to an article by Johnathan Swift on how to prepare Irish children properly for consumption.

I've found that telling my kids "you have to make an honest try of trying everything I serve, before you can say no" works, as LONG AS it's under the assumption that I'm not going to force them to eat it "all gone" if they don't like it.

It sounds like a good deal for them at first, but it's carried out at every sitting, even with things they've rejected before in the past (that's kinda how it works, if that makes sense).  Their tastes change over time, and what they didn't like last year, they suddenly like now.

This is why my son loves spinach and my daughter enjoys asparagus and mushrooms.
