I can understand why he feels this way. Happiness is not necessarily an absolute, you are either happy or you are not. He has varying degrees of happiness and unhappiness as he deals with the choice he has made in his life.

He has had many, many chances to make things different yet he still chooses this. I am sick of the lies and the lack of respect. So when he tells me how unhappy he is it just angers me. I didn't lie or cheat or do drugs. He has done all of it. He is no victim.
Sorry, V. I didn't mean to go off like that. I am so tired of hearing how sad and miserable he is and this was his own doing.
