Xmas spirit Molach: My mom called and asked if I wanted to go to a Christmas concert. I didn't, because I didn't feel like dressing up, and driving out of town on a day off. She then asked if I had any Christmas spirit. I said "no, not really". She got mad at me and hung up. Holidays are already bad enough, without extra b.s. to deal with, why doesn't she understand... ???

She is self-centered and has complete tunnel vision. I am forced to go over there for about two hours Christmas Day , it was easier to say yes than deal with the extra grief right now. I have figured out a solution though. I am going to suck back at least three drinks before going there.

Its not that I am going to be moping around, its just that this one will be so different, and I worry about how the stbx is going to handle her Christmas. She has no family here, so i feel bad for her. I am not however going to fake like I am happy, just to please the family. I guess I'll just see what happens on the day.
