The cat knocks all the shit off the countertops, tables, shelves, etc and then the puppy comes along and chews the shit out of it. I couldn't even begin to tell you how many brand new double rolls of toilet paper have been shredded all over my house. Along with ALL of our toothbrushes, hair brushes, my little ponies, barbie dolls, Christmas ornaments, gloves, socks, shoes, sippy cups, you name it!!!!
The puppy's Xmas present = getting fixed Jan 4th! The kitten soon to follow!!!

been there done that with a puppy and cats. You gotta love them tho...thats the thing. As pissed off as they make me with shit they do........turn over water glass.......knock over lamp.......break lamp, tear up furniture, unplug things that are plugged in, drag clothes out of laundry basket and leave them around the house...........yes.......mainly socks and underwear ewwwww

The damn dog loves toilet paper and it's so funny that he actually chews up the glass ornaments..what a silly dog! Although we have found some of his baby teeth so I think chewing those ornaments must have helped-LOL.
Bailey is getting fixed in January too! I hope this calms him down a bit.

You are so right. It's nice to have some warm bodies to curl up with on a cold night (even if they aren't human). I complain, but I love my pests.........I mean pets......... :D
Re: I want to seriously harm them.................. Temporary: I'm with 2be. I volunteer with a couple of rescue orgs and it's in our adoption contracts that the cats will not be declawed. Please please please don't go this route. It's horrible and unnatural and terribly dangerous if your cat happens to get out of the house. It can't defend itself or escape up a tree if chased.
Get a good scratching post and start training them now, before the habits get too ingrained. I trim my cats' claws, just taking the sharp point off, so that they don't accidently hurt the babies. If you're not comfortable doing that yourself, most vets will do it for free and teach you how.
