Re: I want to seriously harm them.................. yella: My cats were crazy before I had them fixed too. The they calmed down. But sometimes it's in their nature and it might not change.

Re: I want to seriously harm them.................. kimberly:   I was extremely angry with them yesterday but I went to work, came home and low and behold my tree was intact!!  Maybe they got the hint when I had my "meltdown" yesterday.  They curled up with me last night and I found myself warming up to them again.  Hmmmmm that sounds familiar............. just like I used to with J.  I get pi$$ed, I vent, then I'm a big softie again.  I'm going to see if fixing them will help, I need to do it either way.

differences between cats and dogs
Re: I want to seriously harm them.................. 2be: I certainly understand your frustration as being a previous (and future) cat owner myself.  But PLEASE do NOT declaw them... it is a painful and inhumane practice.  Read through this website to find out some more info:  http://www.catsinfo.com/declaw.html

Kittens are like that but they CAN be trained not to attack or claw your furniture, children etc... they just need some behaviour therapy.  Do it now while they're young!  Cats HATE loud sounds so I suggest putting a couple coins in a soda can and tape the top closed.  When you see them doing something they shouldn't rattle that can and it'll spook them.  With a little patience they WILL learn not to do those things.

Buy a scratching post... they'll use it.  Hang string/feathers in areas where they can play safely and they'll leave other stuff alone.

Good luck. :)
Re: I want to seriously harm them.................. ibelong2me: My issue is not with the cat but my cute little puppy Bailey..this dog has ate every ornament off the bottom of our tree..he was actually chewing up the glass ornaments!  I wanted to choke Bailey!  I hope just like with the cats that once this little pup gets fixed he will calm down a bit.
