Climbing katbuttkid: Sorry. I'm obsessed lately.
good new is my hand strength is coming back with vengeance. 2 weeks of climbing every day my forearms are Popeye. Got my balance back... abs like it too.
Still have a long way to go to be where I was (consistent 5.9-- red point even!)
I don't care if I'm ever better than 5.9+. Climbing isn't really my thing...But I do love to summit big mountains! .... and climbing is part of it.
Anyway, I should be in snowboard mode, but we don't have good snow yet, and climbing is back in my life with a vengence lately... who i am to say no?!

On belay baby!!!!
Any time you come out to Colorado, we can hit up a few rocks.
Re: Climbing just_me_detroit: I'm going climbing on Monday!
It will be my first time.
Re: Climbing chaotic: Take some hand moisturizer. After a day of climbing, your hands will be sore, dry from the chalk and will welcome some moisturizer.
Use your legs!!!!! So many beginner climbers grasp the holds so tightly trying to pull themselves up the climb. Use your legs to push as much or more than your arms pull. If you have to hang, hang from straight arms. They tire less than bent arms.
Re: Climbing katbuttkid: Hey that's cool. Chaotic gives good advice here.
I personally think the gym is a great way to spend the day when being outside is narly. Of course, I don't have the choice right now.... but, still.
But, to each their own. Shoes are supposed to be tight, so trim those toenails before hand!
Tell us how it goes.
