Re: Climbing katbuttkid: KNotted ropes, huh C?
Cool.

Yeah, having finesse is so key.
My thing this week is to downclimb every route I 'scend.
It happens to me that I'll see a good sized boulder or even a peak on a mountian, something with a nice crack or chimney, or corner... and get carried away.
I end up on top, no pro, no rope... and have to downclimb.

It freaks my sh*t out.
It's dumb, but I figure if I'm going to be doing that, I better hone in on the downclimb.

AND, honestly, what a work out (isometric for arms and hands). finding the footholds is a challenge (to stay on-route) and I end up hanging forEVER looking for the tape. I get down with my arms all pumped.
I've been back in the gym since Tuesday, and I've already got callouses back!
I like this wall at the gym wiht an overhang, but I was off route coming down at the ledge 3 times in a row. I'll get it, eventually.

Going to go ride snow today tho! Woo Hoo!

Jealous, much?!

Re: Climbing YellowJacket: I went repelling in Denver a few years back.  It was so much fun!  Here is a picture of the area that we went down.  We were a little higher up from where I took the picture.
