Re: Climbing just_me_detroit: Knee is better today!  ;D I'm barely limping.

Hand is still bad though. I have a bruise from the tip of my thump to a couple of inches below my wrist.

I have 2 more days to heal. Here's hoping.  :)
Re: Climbing katbuttkid: Here's a thought: It could be good that you are sorta injured because then you won't overdo your first day?

I know a lot of people who are always on the mend from something or other and climb anyway. I say as long as your hand is working.... and you can stand on that leg, go for it.
If nothing else, you can be shown how to belay, tie in, get used to catching someone and get used to falling? But it all depends on what you're comfortable with.

Maybe?

:)

I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya!

Re: Climbing just_me_detroit: Okay I'm going!!!

Knee is fine. Hand hurts like hell, but I can suck it up!

Can't wait!
Re: Climbing katbuttkid: So... did you go?

:)
Re: Climbing just_me_detroit: Just got back! It was a lot of fun! A lot different from what I am used to. Different is good though.

Nobody told it me it would be that hard. lol

My forearms are burning. I never knew the veins in my arms were that big!

I made it up the 5.7 and 5.8 routes, but 5.9 and 5.10 were just too much.  By the end of the night I couldn't even get up the 5.7 because my hands had no strength left and couldn't hold me. Plus I needed chalk.

It was cool. It won't replace soccer, but I'll go again sometime.
