I feel as if I am working toward that place you are right now. It's a hard pill to swallow to realize your side of the blame for what went wrong. My friend once told me that it would have hurt even if she just came and said she needed to leave, but as I told him, betrayal is a MF'er. As you said it sure drives the point home. But I AM learning. I am keeping an open mind about the things I can do to improve myself, and the things I just have to accept. Some of your posts have shown me I can be the man and face myself, and I thank you for putting yourself out there to help guys like me keep ourselves in check.
Re: To Set The Record Straight Spike: Like I said Lance, something caused it. Just look at what you could have done differently, take one thing at a time, and work on it. It's not easy, or fast, but in the end, you will become a better person.
A wise man once told me, pain is a sign that you did something wrong. If you learned from it, the pain was worth the lesson. It seems the older I get, the smarter my dad gets, and he's been gone for 16 years.

This is one of the most impressive posts I have seen on this site. Too often I read people's "story" and wonder how much of it reality or simply their own version of it. I often wonder how both sides of the story would mesh together, my own included. Im glad to see that you have come out of this a better person.
