Tech support please superwife: I got a new digital camera (finally). Here's the problem. It seems my desktop is too outdated, because when I plugged the cord in from the camera to the comp, it gave me some message that the 'hi speed cord (or whatever) is not plugged into a hi speed USB port". Well, these are the only USB ports I have.
The same thing happened with a newer webcam I got, and a friend told me I needed something to convert it. What is it that I need?
I'm counting on some geek to help me out here :D
Re: Tech support please admin: There are high speed and low speed USB ports.
They both do pretty much the same thing.
If you use a slow port with a fast port it should work with only a slower connection between the two items.
Hope I explained that at the 'right' speed.

Re: Tech support please thejoker: you can go to radio shack or something and look for a USB 2.0 card.
that's what you need.

Re: Tech support please Fendann: You don't actually NEED to plug it into a high-speed USB port (USB2.0). It's just faster than USB 1.1, that's all. Everything should still work as it's supposed to.
