Re: single, moving on/moved on flipflopnomore: I think that sometimes you really never get completely over them. They are just part of your life story. Hopefully with time, the pain gets less and less and you dont feel the sting anymore.
I am just now starting to date and its hard. I do still love my stbxh very much and wish things were different. but they are not and I have to open up myself to find that special person again.

It is because when you have been with someone for an extended period of time they actually become a "part" of you...
All the friends you had together...Relatives...Etc
She will always be a part of you and a time in your life but there will be others that come along that will be a "bigger" part of it...
Trust me on that one
For some of us we want to "heal" so it takes us longer to move on...
I read an article one time that stated this...
The best way to get over a lover is to find another
Some people do that but repeat the same "hurt" over and over ad infintium...
I even watch it here with some but choose not to comment
Take your time and take the time to heal...
So when The "One" comes along you are ready

i know im over her and she will always be in my memory due to her being in my life for quite a long time.
i have learnt alot form our relationship and i can truly say i will be a better person in my next relationship as ive learnt from my mistakes. And for that i thank her and dont regret anything.
i am happy
