Just Saying Hi asoldierssister: Just wanted to introduce myself as I am new to the board and I didn't see a "new member" area, so I'm trying here :)
My name is Crystal and I'm in the middle of a separation from my husband who I have been with for ten years this year. Married for three. He truly is the only man I've ever known. I've been with him since I was 17.
The relationship has never been a good one. I'm just the one who grew up and wanted more for both of us. I love him dearly but I know that we aren't good for each other. We are polar opposites now and though I know that what we are doing is right..... I have so many thoughts, doubts.. hurt... loneliness, etc. I guess I just really need a place to find some positive support. I'm not much for the negative, judgemental forums out there, I'm more for the positive support systems. So I'm really hoping I find that here.
We have no children thankfully (I can say thankfully now). It's especially hard right now since I recently was laid off and my brother was deployed to Iraq. Which was extremely difficult for my family. So I have alot going on and now this. And now I'll face it semi alone.
The story is a long one which I'm sure I'll tell one day but for now... I just kinda need the general support. I hope to get to know some of you and I wish you all the best.

I understand how you feel about having a brother deployed in Iraq....both of my brothers have been there, and now one of them is currently in Afghanistan....it's scary to say the least.
Anytime you need to talk we are here to listen. I'm sorry for the reason you found us, but ever so glad to have you here!
