Re: Oh Gosh Darn It!! mariher: Maybe I'm jumping the gun, we've only been dating about a month and a half. And he does know of my daughter very well considering I talk about her all the time and he has heard her over the phone crying and screaming, he seems okay with it and doesn't really sound like it rattles his nerves. He has a 1 year old niece and a 4 yr old nephew he talks about all the time so I'm assuming he's okay around children.
Eventually I will just come straight out and ask him how he feels towards that whole scenario. I hope I do like the answer, if he says something like oh well we're just hanging out right? Then I'll treat him like a booty call ;D
Kidding. I'd probably rather just stay friends if he says something like that to me.
This is so confusing but I know that when the right man comes along he'll accept both me and my daughter unconditionally.
Re: Oh Gosh Darn It!! Trent: You're fine from what you are saying and wouldn't even bring it up yet. I'm saying this from the opposite perspective of a single guy with no kids that has dated recently a woman with 1 kid and another with 3. He knows what's up.
I've got sort of the opposite thing going on right now with a divorced (abused also) woman with kids that is frustrating the hell out of me because I really fell for her but she is afraid of "jumping in too quickly" and end up in arguments when I want to see her more often. She's just over a year out of the relationship so figured was ok but....
