It's hard for me to accept apologies. I've heard them so many times from my stbx that I don't believe in verbal apologies anymore. The slate won't be wiped clean just because someone said the word "sorry." IMO, anyway...
Also, sometimes we lose people we don't want to. That's apparent by the number of people we get here. If you've tried everything you could think of, but that door is still closed, then you might have to accept that the friendship is over. I'm sorry, that is never an easy thing to do.
