Arrested Development YellowJacket: Does anyone else watch Arrested Development? I got it from NetFlix on the recommendation of a friend and it's a really funny show. I've finished season 1 and am into season 2 now.
I didn't think much of Jason Bateman before but he's quite funny. The writing is original and it's not like many other shows that I can think of. It reminds me a bit of the show Soap from the 70s or early 80s. That show was hilarious, at least when I was young.
Re: Arrested Development Temporary: I do!! I do!!
I freaking LOVE that show. I'm really surprised that more people didn't catch on before it was canceled. I watched the marathon on G4 a week or so back. I'm definitely buying the season on DVD.
Re: Arrested Development YellowJacket: It was canceled already? Bummer. How many seasons did they do?
It seems like every show that I've gotten into via NetFlix has already been canceled -- Buffy, Firefly, Freaks and Geeks, and now this one.
Firefly is really good but it only got one season.
At least Scrubs is still on. I'm only up to Season 2 on that one.
Re: Arrested Development Temporary: They made it 3 seasons but very few people I know have ever heard of it. It must have had a bad time slot because I rarely got to see it when it was on with new episodes. It was quickly bought for reruns though.
What the heck is Firefly?

I won't say that Firefly is for everyone. It's somewhat Sci-Fi in that it takes place on a space ship. It's not Star Trek like at all. I can't stand Star Trek. It's much more about the relationships between the crew and the people they meet than it is about gadgets and space and technology.
I tried it because it was started by the same guy that did Buffy The Vampire Slayer. I was very resistant to watching that one (Buffy) but my X talked me into a few episodes. The writing was very creative and that's what I love about Firefly. If you have NetFlix you might give it a try. It takes me a while to warm up to most shows but I enjoyed it after the first episode.
Freaks and Geeks must have had a horrible time slot too because that show was great and it only made one season.
