I had my first date with this guy almost 3 weeks ago. I was nervous as heck, felt guilty, insecure and just a big anxiety mess. But you know, it was the best thing I ever did. I learned that there are guys that open doors, don't make you pay for everything and do tell you how beautiful you are. And he didn't even push me to sleep with him. I felt so good. It made me realize that there are so many other guys out there besides my loser ex.
You will sort of know when the right time is, but don't expect to be really comfortable. And only you, not someone else, can decide that.

I worry about sticking my heart out there to get crushed again. So I am going slow.
But I do think I was ready to start moving on. This guy may or may not be the one, but I know that I am done being alone and pining away for my loser ex.
Re: How do you know? lghawaiian: Personally, I'm waiting for someone to find me. I've spent enough time wanting, and now I've resolved to emphasise other things in my life that are making me happy, like my friends, my sisters, and school.
I figure I'm worth the investment, so I wait for someone with enough emotional capital. :)
