(him not me of course), I can look back at myself with a clear conscience and know that I did right, and worked as hard as I could on my part to save us.
Problem is, you cant save anyone else, they have to do that on their own. And so you are left once again with your choice. And once the waters are muddied, it takes forever for them to settle down and clear up again.
Definitely dont give her any ammo to say see, I was right to do this....etc.
Hang in there bud, I know it is hard. You are doing a terrific job though.

Anyhow, sometimes you know what you have to do (or not do), but this neverending rollercoaster of emotions keeps throwing you off
Re: How common are double affairs? athena: The thing is, your wife has all kinds of doom she has laid up because of her actions. Yeah, you're hurting because of it, but don't lay up doom for yourself by doing the same thing. Deserved or not.
Because trust me - as much as you're hurting right now - it CAN get worse. It can, and it will.
Be careful and keep YOUR nose clean. You will avoid further trauma.
