Good lord....today! Melbel: So, I get up at 4:00 am do some yoga, have some coffee and pack lunches.
Get the kids to daycare at 7:15 and I am pulling into the parking lot of my school at 7:30....I am always the first one there (more times then not the last to leave) but not today. I see 3 local cop cars and start to panic. Get out and they inform me...my school has been tagged and windows broken out (9 in total). We get it most cleaned up (at least so noone will get hurt) and start a full day.
Well the first one in the doors is this sweet little girl G....never a problem...today is freakin out. So, during circle up she is sitting on my lap turns looks at me and then pukes all in her lap and my pants and shoes. So, after we get that cleaned up....*gags* we move on. I always have a spare outfit in my office...thank god!
In my homework club today after school one of the boys tells me that his dad hit him on Monday and why I ask is the bruises on his neck that I can see and the scratch marks on his neck as well. So, you guessed the cops were back at my school and I release him into the custody of cops. Come to find out he beat up the boys mom pretty bad and she left to stay with her mom and left their son....as you can guess again it didn't go over well! A$$hole!
Right now my back hurts, head hurts and feel like I want to hit something! I am going to make a gin and tonic and finish my child abuse report >:(.
Re: Good lord....today! Alphabet Girl: Sorry Mel...those are the days when our job is the hardest - but the days when you feel you're needed the most, too. Luckily, tomorrow will be a completely different set of challenges! :)
Re: Good lord....today! Peaceandquiet: Yup got agree with Alphie.. if it weren't for you the abuse may have never been noticed... you should be patting yourself on the back for perhaps stopping one a-hole from hurting his kid or his wife again. I'll be the first to say thank you for watching out for the kids.
