I wanted to watch it but ended up at a friend's house watching The Ringer. However, I will be tuning in on Monday night for "I Love New York".

It *is* a guilty pleasure of mine, in fact when VH1 ran their marathon of this the other day, I tuned in... a lot... But really the whole idea of the show bothers me. Is it a good thing to portray such exaggerated stereotypes? Are we helping break down these stereotypes or are we helping further them with this show? Not trying to be argumentative, just thinking... Anyway, that aside, I *do* tune in when I run across it. Especially last season when one of the Geeks was a "Dungeon Master" (the ex. plays D&D, I do not) and! my favorite! the Geek who "tracks monkeys with lasers". So awesome.[/color">
Re: Beauty and the geek- my new favorite show C-Note: OK I finally caught an episode. What can I say. I'm a bit embarrassed. I spent a portion of the time watching holding my hands in front of my eye's as if it were a horror flic. The stereotypes cut deep and I could see little bits of myself across a few of the guys.
Many thanks to my sisters for giving me the gift of color coordination and proper grooming.
As for the ladies on the show. Well I'm impressed. It's a little bit like the picks available during my high school years. I admit I hid my Thursday night Dungeons and Dragons gathering as if it were a closet drug habit, but my saving grace was being absolutely fearless.
The show affords the sexes a glimpse of what goes on in the minds of the opposite sex at the extreme ends of the social scale.
I treasure the geeks for being themselves and being absolute gentlemen amongst themselves. Well I've only seen one episode but It doesn't appear these geeks are like the men of survivor plotting to stab each other in the back.
As for the glamour girl princesses they are as I expected shallow, self absorbed, attention wanting, back stabbing autonomous clique forming dim wits. Some do show promise and well they look great so I'll be tuning in this week for my second episode. I hope this does air the same time I Love New York comes on.
