How would your friends and family react if you reunited with your ex? tryingtosmile: Ok, I thought I would ask this because I know there are some of you out there who have reconciled with your exes; even if only temporarily.
I don't think there is even the slightest chance that my husband will come back to me but even if he did, and I decided I wanted to try again..I know my friends and family would murder me first. They are so angry at what he did that they would never understand a reconciliation.
I was wondering if any of you actually lived through that experience already and if so..how did you handle your family and friends' reactions?
Did they care at all? Did they understand and forgive/accept your ex?
Part of me thinks that there isn't any use having hope for a future with my husband because no one on my side of things (family/friends) would accept it after what he has done. I think HIS family would be overjoyed to see us together again, and have told me as much, but that is beside the point...

I spent christmas eve with my ex and his family, my brother and mom too.
We had a blast.
I guess to answer your question.......some of my and his family would love the fact if we could get back together.
Both sides of family got along well. However, my ex and I didn NOT live well together.

My friends would be quite supportive I think, although worried, protective and doubtful that I was doing the right thing and if we broke up again I reckon I could count on a hell of a lot of 'I told you so's..... My family would hit the roof.
My mother would kill him, me then herself before she saw me back with my ex. He and I from very different backgrounds so she never liked the fact that his family was "posh" anyway, although she liked him. My dad would do what he always does and shrug.
Overall - it would be REALLY tough for the family to come to terms with that. BUT hey, it's always your choice no matter what anyone else thinks. Everyone has to do what they have to do - if people really care for you then they'd accept it. Just don't count on the same support if you break up again...
