cold hearted...literally ashamaliedarn: some *explicit deleted* left a jack russell terrior chain to the picnic table in my backyard...apparently it's the dog i've been hearing bark for the last two days. it's the middle of an ice storm here. our ground is nothing but pure ice..it's down to 2 degrees at night with a north wind of 20 mile an hour. at 5:45 am today the windchill was -10...and this poor pup was outside. he was hungry...and someone just cold heartedly left this little guy outside, in the cold and ice, with no food and no water, wrapped around a table and chair....the little guy couldn't move...
i swear, the lack of humanity these days is horrid...and if i could find the person, they'd sure be getting the brunt of the ice in their face a long with a size 12 boot that belongs to my boyfriend up their hind end. i cannot believe someone would do that....it's just heartbreaking.
Re: cold hearted...literally Temporary: Did you call animal control?
Re: cold hearted...literally trapped: Oh yikes.....NO that definetly changes things.
Sorry little guy~~outside for you!!
Aww man sorry, glad noone is seriously hurt. Hes probably just scared and traumatized but I agree with you fully. Gotta keep safe.
Or maybe the crate in a basement or mud room even. Not sure but def dont want him running loose where he can bite one of you. Ack.
Re: cold hearted...literally ashamaliedarn: we live in a small town, there's a vets office here and it's got rabies tags from there...luckily people are always posting things, and we think we may have actually FOUND the owner of the poor little guy. i fed him some bread and milk, laid a warm blanket out for him, and he's on the porch where the north wind can't get him...he's a friendly little guy.
we cant have pets here, so we don't want to risk it...but for just in case, we had someone bring over a pet carrier and he'll stay in it for the night if we can't get ahold of anyone to take care of it. vet can't do anything until tomorrow. there was an ad in a gas station that was for a lost pup with an injured leg..well, this HAS to be that pup...jack russell, with a bum leg...looks just like the picture but probably better kept.
i already informed the man of the house there is NO WAY i'm letting that pup stay outside over night. i don't have it in me. i can't let it just be. i can't just let it go. if it weren't for the fact that we can't have pets, i'd bring the little guy inside, bathe him, love him, and take him in myself.
Re: cold hearted...literally PennyLane: that makes me sick. WHat did you do?
We got the ice storm here too smash. Firefighters had to rescue a littler cocker yesterday in my neighborhood........the owner let her out to pee and poor little thing slid down the steep hill/driveway and couldnt get back up.
