How many Times has You come close to being Murdered/Killed ? Freckles: I have several Times that I know of.

1. Years ago I was working at a Lumberyard and this Customer came in and started cussing and saying: What will you do if I dont pay my bill ?
He was saying: I would get free Colar TV and Food at the Jail !
So I said: I dont care if you pay your bill or not as I am only making a hourly wage and not very much at that!
He left and the very next day he Killed his Wifes Father with a pistol.
2. Anouther time when I was working at the same place, a Distant Relative
said that his Grandmother(My Distant Aunt of some kind) had left town and could I give him some money and he would give me her check at work.
The Boss said No.
So he calls me at work and asked if I had any money that *I* personaly could do that, and for me to go over to thier house to pay him
(He was acting strange)
I said *No* that I have not been paid and I only get paid 2 times a month.
(Really though I just got Paid)
In a few days we learned He had Killed his Grandmother and He wanted Me to go over there, so he could rob and kill me !
He is now in Prison for all of his life.
3. At my Big Blowup my ExWife was sitting on chair holding foot and half long butcher knife Grinning like she just won the lottery.
She was showing me the knifes blade. She was Drunk. She is a Hostile Drunk so I knew there was a very good chance that She was not bluffing.
There is 3 times for me that I can think of.

Two of those times I was shot at. Never hit.
No I'm not joking. Twice in high school, once 2 years ago.

then in Nam.. wow.. close calls all the time.

Age 11 - Jumped off the back of a pickup truck. The Duke Boys did it all the time and never got hurt. I get 21 stitches to close my head.
Age 15 - Shot to the head by one of the PD's finest. What ever got knocked outta me from that pickup got set straight.
Age 18 - Strep throat. Vodka is not the cure. I know that now. Tonsile swelled up and cutoff my breathing.
Age 23 - Disarmed a cop pointing a gun at me. I'm not that quick anymore.
That's about it for me.
