Re:Confused....input please Spectrum: This definitely sounds like a CYA (cover your a$$) situation.

I would file ASAP, so that you are under temporary orders. This will prevent him from shifting assets and taking you seven ways from Sunday while he goofs around.

As my lawyer pointed out, until the final papers are signed, you can always call it off after your initial filing of the petition.

Spectrum.
Re:Confused....input please jason_stl: I am with everyone else, file as soon as you can.

Re:Confused....input please amess: Yes, file. Anyway, a counselor worth his/her salt would never proceed with marital counselling unless the affair was ended. It just wouldn't work.
Re:Confused....input please Suddenly Single: When I found out my ex was cheating he was out in an hour. He asked if we could separate first. I knew before this ever happend that I could not live with him or myself after his long term infidelity. I, nor you, are a sloppy second. It could be he wants to see where it goes with her. You need to think if you would be happy taking him back if he decides he wants you back. Soul searching time.
Re:Confused....input please Suddenly Single: OOPS. I meant we are NOT sloppy seconds!
