Re: Does Yoga work? Copperblade: I think society focuses on exercise more because it is an overall help to your health. But if you want to lose weight, you really need to diet. It's WAY easier to simply cut down on the calories you take in (hint: this means knowing how many calories you're taking in) than it is to try to burn them off.
Exercise can help you do this because it affects you mentally, and keeps you stable and strong for the dieting. Exercising has a lot of benefits for your health... it'll just seem discouraging if you're doing it just to "lose weight."
