Re:What I'm ready for: seth: RecentlyDiscarded,

Only 25, huh? At 29, I feel like what the hell have I been doing all of these years?????

Yeah, I too am waiting to wake up from this nightmare. Last night, I dreamed of my ex and in the dream we had two small children. We never had children but we had names picked out. It was so bizarre.....
Re:What I'm ready for: Kinney26: I don't need a supermodel. I am intimidated by those super hot women anyway. My stbx was far from a supermodel. I just want a woman who is pretty, I have to find her attractive, sweet, who will support me through anything. Who takes commitment seriously, and will love my son like her own. If she likes watching sports that is a plus but not a requirment. I just want someone who is loving and loves me for me and isn't always trying to change me.

I think this is the key here. After what we've all been through, we just want someone to understand us and accept us for who we are. I used to say I wanted someone who "got me" ... my weird sense of humor, my flirtatious manner, my outgoing personality, my extremely sarcastic nature ... but most of all someone who recognized I can come across as the Ice Queen but yet really just want someone to take care of me so I don't always have to be in control.

It will all come in time, but BB is right; if you just go out and get the ball rolling, the other stuff will take care of itself ...

Re:What I'm ready for: recentlydiscarded: I am ready for my s2bx to fall flat on his face and actually feel some emotions. Some sort of loss. I'm the one feeling depressed and confused and it's life as usual for him. What a jerk.
