Re: Powdah Room 1/29 YellowJacket: My answer to the original question is no. I had always leaned toward not wanting kids and decided for sure in my 20's. I had a vasectomy after X and I were together for a few months and I knew I'd marry her.

I love some of the Fark threads on having vs. not having kids. I need to start saving those.
The "breeder" and "clown car" jokes make me laugh nearly every time.
Powdah Room 1/29 yella: Today's Question:
Would you want to have a baby (or another baby with those of us with kids)?
Re: Powdah Room 1/29 bamacannon: Of course, because really, think about it. If I had a baby, I would be stinkin filthy rich! Actually I don't want anymore children but I'm open to a womans children if I happen to (heaven forbid) fall in love again.
Re: Powdah Room 1/29 superwife: I'm about 60/40 on this one. I enjoyed pregnancy, and had a great labor/delivery. But I don't know if I could honestly fit it into my life right now. I look at those here that are expecting, and it makes me wonder if I could do it now (if it happened). It would be tough. I just started working days, my parents still work full time, I live in a tiny 2 bedroom apt. It would be tough.
Then there's the whole 'father' thing. I want to be with the father of my next child forever. I want to co-parent. I want to do it right the next time. I am scared tht that may not be feasible (b/c there are obviously no guarantees in life), but in a way I want it so badly. I am envious of the parents who are together, who get to see their kids 24/7 in the same house together, and who sit and discuss parenting issues. When my bf is with us, I see that often times we are on the same page. Something my ex and I were not. But I can't even think about that now. Practically, it's not in the cards right now.
I had an original cut-off, which would expire 2 years from today!! I will definitely be extending that, b/c I do realize I can have a safe pregnancy and delivery after age 35.

You totally can. Everyone at my work says the odds are even better of a safe pregnancy if you've had a baby before age 35. Don't know why, but several people have said it.
I'm with you KimPossible ;) I would like to do it right next time... for every reason you said.
For me - a great big yes to another baby one day.
