Re: Lunesta yella: $40 for a 30 day supply? Wow...  maybe I can swing it once my car is paid off.

Re: Lunesta Magalucia: Have you tried valerian root?  I don't handle sleep meds well, but valerian helped me get to sleep and then have a deeper sleep.

It may be too mild if you have a severe problem, but I had the issues with the dreams too and while I remembered bits and pieces I did not wake up exhausted like I did before taking valerian.

Yeah. Aetna for the win. They also charge me that much for allegra. :(

My mom uses and likes Sonata. I have not used it yet, but I've heard good things. The thing I like about ambien is that it really just makes me feel tired..and I'm not 'hung over' the next day like when I pop a couple of flexorils for my back.. I stayed up once on ambien to see what it did and it just made me feel tired, like my eyes were heavy..
Re: Lunesta YellowJacket: Smiley, aren't you a coffee drinker?  Or do you drink decaf?  I know caffeine is supposed to interfere with sleeping even if you sleep hours after having it.  I was told the same about alcohol.  It makes you sleepy but interferes with your ability to get a restful night of sleep.

Fark had a list of 10 foods that will help you sleep.  Maybe these can help a bit:

I've found that exercise is the best thing for this.  The few times I've had sleep issues were when I had to hold off on exercising for a short time.
Re: Lunesta yella: I usually drink coffee only in the morning. But, I see your point. On the nights that I've had coffee at night, I was able to fall asleep, but not actually rest, now that I think about it.

Sometimes I really just want to have it.  ::) :-\

But... even before I started drinking coffee, this was happening too.

I've never tried valerian. I'll have to look into that.
